"....it has been proven that there is enough food on earth to feed every last man, woman, and child. Yet, if this is the case, why do people around the world continue to starve? The answer to that question lies in large part with the production of animal-based foods, such as meat, dairy, and eggs. Even though there are enough plant-based foods grown to feed the entire human population, the majority of crops (including those grown in countries where people are starving) are fed to livestock for affluent nations, and since the amount of animal-based food produced by the farming industry is much less than the amount of plant food put into it, there is a “diminished return on the investment,” the food supply dwindles, and humans end up going hungry."

Scientific article on the correlation of global temperature with solar activity. "While it appears that the measured solar cycle length tracks the temperature better than the CO2 concentration for the twentieth century up to 1970, this presented data remains quite controversial. When you look at the climate models that seek to show the human influence past 1970, you do see a good correlation of the temperature with the projected CO2 influence included, while the correlation with solar cycle length weakens."

Tony Wright is creating 'Children of the Forest'; Restoring Our Symbiotic Brain & Mind. "I have been developing a theory explaining why our distant ancestors evolved an incredibly rare symbiotic brain that exhibited exceptional abilities, extraordinary perception and a sense of self the lies almost beyond our current comprehension. The same theory presents a clear diagnosis as to why our symbiotic brain has quite literally been eroding away with its associated traits and abilities having virtually disappeared. This has left us in an extremely delusional and self destructive state of mind and yet we are blind to the severity of the situation. Finally and most importantly, if the above diagnosis is accurate, it offers a powerful combination of treatments that can begin to quickly restore the kind of abilities and sense of self alluded to in ancient mythological and spiritual traditions. If the theory is valid and the project is successful it will have a huge impact on how we as a species perceive ourselves and respond to the enormous challenges we face."

"How often do you behave as an ally to people of color? Adapted from notes from John Raible: "I devised this checklist after thinking, as a person of color, about the white people I know with whom I have developed some degree of trust. I wanted to articulate the specific behaviors I see them engaging in which lead me to appreciate their actions on behalf of students of color and against racism in general.""

"Pax Christi has joined a growing minority who are trying to put Parihaka and its celebration of non-violent resistance in its proper place of honour. So, as November comes around, we turn our minds again to find some way in which we can promote the memory of these two prophetic heroes who tried to integrate their own traditional spirituality with the stories of resistance in the Christian scriptures which they knew well. In doing so, they developed a practice of non-violent resistance which is part of a world-wide movement reaching into our own time. We are working to see that they are given full recognition in this their own land among other such leaders, both international and indigenous, who have sought the path of reconciliation and the non-violent resolution of conflict in the spirit of the peace of Christ."
