"*Abolitionist educators campaign - We encourage you to build with CR, cultivate abolitionist education in your classrooms, and bring the practical lessons and strategic dreams of prison industrial complex abolition to your school and your community. *Breaking down the prison industrial complex - In this period of astonishing energy and public discussion about the state of policing, imprisonment, sentencing, and surveillance, CR is releasing a new video project titled Breaking Down the Prison Industrial Complex. The video project explores the current state of the prison industrial complex (PIC) and how people are fighting back to resist and abolish it. *Prisoners speak out: analysis and perspectives - From imprisoned contacts we have gathered (and then publicly shared) guidance, research, analysis, and testimony that has propelled our campaigns forward. This pages features relevant reports and correspondence that are part of our campaigns, projects, and political education. *Profiles in abolition: highlighting ongoing struggle to abolish the prison industrial complex - In 2016, Critical Resistance presented Profiles in Abolition, a national series intended to reinvigorate a critical understanding of prison industrial complex (PIC) abolition and inspire us to take creative and practical steps toward a liberated future – free of policing, imprisonment, or surveillance. We encourage you to check out the videos, photos and materials below."

News and Updates. "To build a powerful, winning movement requires trained and committed organisers who can mobilise Australians around shared values, influence the political process and engage communities to win campaigns. The Community Organising Fellowship is an exciting initiative that equips community leaders and non-government organisations’ staff with the skills they need to build community power to influence decision-makers. From the civil rights movement in the United States to worker rights in Australia, effective organising has been at the heart of countless winning campaigns."

Book: "The Community Organising Guide is a unique resource for campaigners, community leaders and activist educators. It’s a collection of 39 process guides, 50 handouts 4 original case studies and 3 sample workshop schedules: everything you need to design and lead participatory workshops with activists, organisers and citizens. The 300 pages of training resources deepen our understanding of relational meetings and self-interest, the power of story in organising, building alliances, coalitions and networks, holding decision-makers accountable and leadership development. The guide also sharpens core organising skills such as recruitment, doorknocking and phonebanking. The Community Organising Guide draws on wisdom gained in social movements over several decades. It doesn’t advocate ‘one right way’, but integrates broad-based, social movement and grassroots organising approaches. The Guide is the second of six instalments in the People Power Manual series and follows the August 2015 launch of our Campaign Strategy Guide."

"The Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade (CAFT) is a grass-roots organisation, run entirely by unwaged volunteers. Unlike many wealthy, national campaigning groups we rely solely on generous public donations to continue fighting the fur trade. CAFT has helped regenerate the grass-roots campaign against the fur trade throughout the UK. Through investigations, education, campaigns and demonstrations we have exposed the horror of the fur trade and helped establish and continue many anti-fur actions across Britain. We have filmed undercover in fur farms, lobbied for a ban on fur farming and persuaded countless shops to stop selling real fur. We also work with anti-fur groups across the world. The fur industry is a global one so our fight against it should work on an international level too. Please join us in the struggle on behalf of fur-bearing animals worldwide. Get actively involved, educate others and support us financially."

"Humans played a big role in the changes to the earth’s climate over the last century, and scientists predict catastrophic problems if climate change goes unchecked. America is the second largest contributor to carbon dioxide in the world but accounts for only 4.4% of the global population, which means people in the U.S. can make great strides in the fight against climate change with the right tools, information, and resources. College is a great place to start, and there are many opportunities for involvement as a student. See what climate change experts have to say on the matter and learn more about the different ways you can get involved on campus and beyond."
