Buddhist Eco-Chaplaincy Training Program
Applications are now open for the Buddhist Eco-Chaplaincy Training Program, hosted by the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies and facilitated by Gil Fronsdal, Susie Harrington and Kirsten Rudestam. The program will offer basic Buddhist training in the wisdom and skill needed to be a Buddhist Environmental Chaplain, i.e., those who work to establish people in healthy, compassionate, and mutually supportive relationships with each other and the natural world. It will offer experience-based activities and contemplative practices that deepen individuals’ own more-than-human relations, as well as provide them with skills to be spiritual caregivers, helping others (re)connect with nature and face contemporary environmental and social crises with wisdom and compassion.
Applications and more details are now available on the Sati Center’s website: http://www.sati.org/buddhist-eco-chaplaincy-3/. Please contact buddhistecochaplaincy@gmail with any questions and also please pass this along to those you think may be interested.
