With nearly 60 percent of the country’s population living below the poverty line, it seems completely reasonable to suggest that Zambian people are deserving of a greater share of the lucrative financial returns generated by their country’s mining industry. According to Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the new marine protected areas will function like national parks of the sea.
