Produced by the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy

In a brief presentation at the NZAP (New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy) conference, The Climate Crucible (March 2021), Dr Paris Williams discusses the concept of “Foundational Attachment” – a deep sense of belonging to and connection with the Earth.

He uses this concept as a lens to explore how humanity has come so close to hurtling off the precipice of our own extinction, along with that of so many of our fellow Earthlings; and to explore how we may be able to find our way back to a sustainable and harmonious life on this planet, as one valuable member of a thriving Gaian community.
